The CCAI Basabhumi Award

Every year since 2008 the CCAI Basabhumi Award has been awarded for achievements in Art-Literature & Culture, Research, Journalism, Social Service, & for Mass Movements. The CCAI BASABHUMI AWARD is a LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT award administered by the CCAI Basabhumi Award Committee, Baharampur, in Murshidabad, India. This committee is formed jointly by two renowned organizations named Chandra Commercial & Art Institute (A leading multipurpose training institute, operating since 1977) & Basabhumi Magazine (A renowned little magazine, publishing since 1980). This committee is headed by Sri Arup Chandra, an eminent writer & an educationist. He is also the Principal of Chandra Commercial & Art Institute & the Editor of Basabhumi Magazine. Every year, CCAI BASABHUMI Award Committee selects 2 (two) eligible persons for this award. Each prize consists of a Memento (Smarak), a Certificate (Manpatra), an Uttariyo, and a cash award.

About 2008 CCAI Basabhumi Award

In the year 2008 CCAI Basabhumi Award Committee selected Honourable Pran Ranjan Chowdhury & Honourable Soumendra Kumar Gupta for 2008 CCAI Basabhumi Award. On 16^th of September 2008, in Ritwik Sadan, Baharampur, in a gala Award Ceremony, in presence of Award Committee Head Mr. Arup Chandra and other eminent personalities, the honourable award recipients were felicitated and awarded. Each prize consisted of a Memento (Smarak), a Certificate (Manpatra), an Uttariyo, and a cash award.

On 16^th of September 2009, in Ritwik Sadan, Baharampur, in a gala Award Ceremony, in presence of Award Committee Head Mr. Arup Chandra and other eminent personalities, the honourable award recipients were felicitated and awarded. Each prize consisted of a Memento (Smarak), a Certificate (Manpatra), an Uttariyo, and a cash award.

On 19^th of September 2009, in Ritwik Sadan, Baharampur, in a gala Award Ceremony, in presence of Award Committee Head Mr. Arup Chandra and other eminent personalities, the honourable award recipients will be felicitated and awarded. Each prize consist of a Memento (Smarak), a Certificate (Manpatra), and a cash award.
